Join Real Pickles' Dan Rosenberg on August 8 in Amherst - TICKETS AT THE DOOR
*** PLEASE NOTE: TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR ***
Do you value regulations that support farmers producing local organic foods, consumers who want those foods, and a transparent food system that fully labels ingredients? So do we!
On August 8th, NOFA/Mass will host Real Pickles founder Dan Rosenberg at the beautiful Brookfield Farm in Amherst for a fun evening reception to sustain NOFA/Mass' policy work - a great way to kick off your NOFA Summer Conference experience!
Featured speaker Dan Rosenberg became inspired to start making traditional pickles at a 1999 Northeast Organic Farming Association conference workshop. Today that hobby has grown into Real Pickles, which uses Northeast sourced produce to make raw, organic, naturally fermented pickles
and other organic products, like sauerkraut and ginger carrots, which are sold at retail outlets around the Northeast. Learn more about Rosenberg at realpickles.com.
Since 1982 NOFA/Mass has advocated for laws and regulations that restrict the use of harmful methods and materials in agriculture and enhance opportunities for farmers to produce organic food in the state. Encouraging
local food production not only serves the increasing number of consumers interested in high quality, healthy, humanely treated, and well-labeled local food, but also continues to make farming economically viable while
protecting food sovereignty.
The August 8th reception will begin at 6:30, featuring local, organic foods. Dan will speak beginning at 7:30, followed by time for questions, food and socializing.
Have fun and support a good cause. Tickets are $40, or $30 for NOFA/Mass members, registrants of the NOFA Summer Conference or members of the Brookfield Farm CSA. The event will be held at Brookfield Farm, 24 Hulst
Rd, Amherst, MA. Proceeds to support NOFA/Mass' policy work.
