Santuario de Chimayo Benefit
El Santuario de Chimayo is a 200 yr. old small adobe church located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the little village of Chimayo, just 20 minutes north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  This sacred spot has become a shrine and Holy place for worship for generations of Native Americans, Hispanics and people of many other faiths who come to pray for healing and special intentions.  The Santuario is one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage centers in the United States often referred to as the Lourdes of Americas.  300,000 pilgrims from all over the Southwest, every state and country travel to visit this little church one of the most beautiful examples of Spanish Colonial Architecture in New Mexico.  It has been horribly vandalised in the last year with obscene carvings cut into the beautiful old wooden front doors, statues defaced and destruction to the grounds.
Michael Fitzpatrick, the renown cellist, is a friend of the Santuario and has graciously offered to perform a concert to help raise funds for a security system.  Michael is a recipient of The Prince Charles Award for Outstanding Musicanship and has performed from the White House to Royal Palace in Jordan. He frequently travels to perform for His Holiness the Dalai Lama who has said of Michael, "The emotion induced by Michael Fitzpatrick's music is so powerful it seems almost verbalized".  Michael has performed at the United Nations, the Spoleto Music Festival in Italy and the West Lawn of the US Capitol. This is a 501c3 organization.  Thank you.
