Return to The Hard Rock (Boston)
Four distinct bands. One Amazing night at the legendary Hard Rock in Boston, MA.
Mindset X (Live DVD taping the night of) Mindset X has created a brand of rock that crosses boundaries. Hailing from Manchester, NH and consisting of members Steve Haidaichuk (guitar and vocals), Adam Cote (drums) and Paul Davidson (bass and vocals), Mindset X creates a mix of alternative and mainstream.
Recent milestones have seen MSX open for Korn, Hinder, Candlebox , Saving Abel and Queensryche (at the legendary Hampton Beach Casino).
A new self-titled album was released in August 2012 and has received rave reviews from peers, critics and fans. The single's, 'Dirty lil Freak' & 'Everybody Wants to be You', has continued to gain ground on college & indy radio and have become staples in the live show.
Dave Crespo's After Party DAve Crespo has been playing in bands in Massachusetts since 1999 when he started out fronting and playing lead guitar for Ravin Klaim. After local attention surmounted around Ravin Klaim through The Boston Globe and Fox News, Crespo dismantled the band to go in a different direction with his music.
The latest incarnation of The After Party is the most furious line of that has ever backed Crespo. The rock fury that this group of people embodies has brought the band to yet another level. Some have said that Spo has finally gotten back to his roots in Ravin Klaim with this line up.
The group now consists of Nicole D'Amico still on backing vocals, Zach Cohen on rhythm guitar, Will Deeks on lead guitar, Brandon Santos on bass and Alex Steven Martin on drums. Together they are in 2012 known as DAve Crespo's After Party.
Mavara (CD Release Party) Mavara is Iran's first premier progressive rock band. The name Mavara translates to "beyond everything you think" which speaks to the essence of their music. The band was formed in 2001 by composer/keyboardist Farhood Ghadiri and over the years has had a fluid line-up of members, performing extensively in Tehran and Karaj. Currently Mavara is comprised of Ghadiri along with Ashkan Hamidi /vocals, Arash Radan/guitar, Sina Khodaiefer/ bass and Anis Oveisi/keyboardist.
Because of their unique sound and talent, Mavara quickly gained notoriety in Iran, receiving acclaim from the Tehran Industry and Science University as "Best Rock Band at a Live Performance". Additional honors include an invitation to perform for the internet music festival, "Teheran Avenue" in both 2003 and 2005.
Mongrel Rock n' Roll circa 2012 is becoming an increasingly predictable affair, so, whenever a band comes along refusing to fit the mold, it usually doesn't go unnoticed. Case in point, Boston's Mongrel. Formed with the belief that "punk" was more than a fashion statement, Mongrel was born in 2003 in Eastern Massachusetts, quickly leaving their mark on both the local and national music scene.
With their balance of old school punk intensity, metal aggression, and hard rock hooks, Mongrel is a hungry, young Rock band ready to take on the world. The recordings are only part of the equation though, as Mongrel live is an equally unforgettable experience. It's high energy, intense, and fun.
