Peter Sellars, our first speaker, is a renowned theater, opera, and festival director, and one of the most innovative and powerful forces in the performing arts today in America and abroad. Mr. Sellars has directed The Children of Herakles, Ajax, the Chicago Lyric Opera, the Glyndebourne Festival, the Salzburg Festival, San Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Festivals, the 2002 Adelaide Festival in Australia, the 2003 Venice Biennale International Festival of Theater, New Crowned Hope Festival of Vienna, and others.
