July 4th 'Indypendence Day' Lunch at Henry Miller Library in Big Sur!
The Indy is alive & our 'First Thursday' events continue July 4th when we take our scene on a roadtrip to Big Sur to celebrate 'Indy'pendence Day with a 'Lavish Luncheon with Lively Music & Garden Games' from 12-3:00PM at the infamous Henry Miller Libary!

Imagine turning off coastal Route 1 and ducking into the redwoods where the Library lawn is alive with garden games & a social seating of 100 folks all enjoying a sequence of appetizers, main dish & desserts provided by the most progressive food artisans from Santa Cruz to Big Sur.  Many dishes will be cooked in the mobile wood fired masonry oven of Sand City based caterer Tricycle Pizza. The majestic redwoods are looming above in all their grandeur while a spirited game of croquet overlaps with our first annual water balloon toss.  The extra never-ordinary house band 'Songs Hot Box Harry Taught Us' will be crooning with a slew of special guests.  Host Maddox Haberdasher will do his dandy darn-dest to make you feel welcome while The Ladies of Planet Love Funk astound with their grace!  Families are encouraged to bring their CHILDREN confident in the casual atmosphere and 'Kids Corner' activities provided by Esalen Gazebo Park School ($25 ticket for kids 12yrs + under).

Garden Games + a Mini Market starts at 12 Noon so lunch ticket holders can come enjoy a leisurely seating + play garden games for an hour while meeting featured food artisans & tasting their creations- some of the best in the region!

The Lunch will be served at promptly at 1:00 PM 'family style' by our colorful cast of volunteers on platters to be shared + devoured by friends new and old, so bring a social spirit! Look forward to meeting + eating next to contributing food artisans like Tricycle Pizza, Big Sur Bakery, Esalen Farm & Garden, Chef Matt Millea, Penny Ice Creamery, Local Catch Monterey Bay, The Pig Wizard & Happy Girl Kitchen!

Creative COCKTAILS by The Drink Mixtress Vanessa Share will enliven your spirit with spirits alongside micro regional + import WINES all poured by the glass by Sommelier Michael Marcy.  Their eclectic + geeky collection will astound you, promise.

Pop Culture will be making their debut in Big Sur with their organic artisan SODA!  They will be sampling + selling their carefully sweetened sparkling drinks (non alcoholic).
