Friends in Rhythm is a unique recreational organization based out of Wild Goose Creative that focuses on providing people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to interact and enjoy the company of those in their Columbus community through music. Description
Every part of this program is designed to give its members an extraordinary experience. Each musical activity is planned to be packed with fun, but teach valuable skills at the same time. Members will use music as a tool for forming friendships and challenging their leadership skills in ways that would generally not exist outside of this group. Where participants are surrounded by acceptance and free to be themselves, they will have the opportunity gain self-confidence and embrace a community of people, which supports them.
Friends in Rhythm will unite people with developmental disabilities and those in their community by using music as a common language to build relationships and overcome communication barriers. As an organization of Wild Goose Creative it embraces their four main tenets; hospitality, communication, education, and creativity.
