Gunpowder
"Gunpowder" is a play about the gun violence in Chicago, a battlefield that young people must navigate on a daily basis and too many young people fall victim to. In that sense, "Gunpowder" is more than a play - it's a call to action and seeks to combat the apathy that too many people feel while providing a voice to those whose voices have been drowned out by gunshots. "Gunpowder" seeks to do this by breaching the division between audience and the actors and drawing the audience into a variety of perspectives on the gun violence and all of our roles in perpetuating it.
