Description
The Interactive Concert - Sonatas, Grounds, Dances: Chamber Music of the 17th Century.  Take a tour of the music of the early Baroque era, elucidating 3 different types of instrumental music of the era (church sonata, dance, and pieces composed on a repeating, or ground, bass line) and the tools of the early music trade (period instruments), featuring instrument demonstrations and audience Q&A. This concert features the music of Arcangelo Corelli and Salamone Rossi. Galileo Project is made up of David Sego and Amy Haltom, violins; Heather Vorwerck, cello/viola da gamba; Julia Ageyeva-Hess, harpsichord; and Gary Hess, theorbo.
