Tin Punch: Old-time Knowhow for New Enthusiasts
Learn the art of Tin Punch with artisan and instructor, Jim George! He will teach participants to make tin punch projects such as Christmas decorations, lampshades, lanterns, furniture inserts and more. Participants will take home a completed project!
Jim is a long-time volunteer with the Watkins Mill State Historic site. He is a retired educator with a variety of hobbies including tin punch, leatherwork, blacksmithing, work with heritage tools, and is an accomplished musician. He teaches classes on many of these skills, bringing old-time know-how to new enthusiasts. The event is co-sponsored by the Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site.
