This summer we're showcasing sustainability in a delicious new way with some of our extraordinary chef friends in the community! Each month we will feature a local chef who will create a sustainable feast for 30 lucky attendees. Guests will enjoy produce grown just steps away in the surrounding organic gardens or sourced directly from small farms in our region. All the proteins will be raised locally & sustainably to ensure the highest quality and minimal impact on the environment.

Thursday, AUGUST 22nd: Chef Jacob Pilarski + Pasty Chef Ben Spungin
The Monterey Peninsula food scene got a major bonus when Chef Jacob Pilarski decided to move south after a fruitful tenure as the Sous Chef at fabled foodie-heaven Manresa in Los Gatos for nearly 5 years. After a brief stint as Chef de Cuisine at the stunning Sierra Mar Restaurant (Post Ranch), Chef Pilarski has now joined the team at the Big Sur Bakery. Known for his commitment to farm-fresh produce, Chef will surely create memorable meal with the bounty of the season!
Pastry Chef Ben Spungin from the acclaimed Marinus Restaurant in Carmel Valley, has decided to join in the fun of the evening and will surely tantalize your taste-buds with his sweet things! It's going to be a fun night!

Sunday, SEPTEMBER 8th: SPECIAL EVENT
The Central Coast Pastry Coalition Presents "Eat the Art": A 6-course pop-up dessert dinner + edible art gallery at MEarth
This special collaboration will feature 2 internationally known pastry chefs from Southeast Asia and a collection of our local sweet geniuses, who will take our sweet teeth to new edible and artistic dimensions, at this one of a kind event. More information and tickets CLICK HERE

The event will begin at 5:30 with an (optional) tour of the surrounding organic gardens where most of the veggies in the dinner were grown. We will gather around our family-style table at 6pm to enjoy an unforgettable multi-course meal. *Please note that since the building is technically on school grounds, no alcoholic beverages will be served at the dinner. Chefs will prepare some fun "mocktails" that will be creatively paired with courses for your enjoyment.

All proceeds from these dinners will go directly towards supporting the work of MEarth in our community: www.MEarthCarmel.org. The purchase of tickets is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Thursday, JULY 11th: Chef Ted Walter
Chef Walter is the Executive Chef and co-owner (with his lovely wife Cindy) of Passionfish in Pacific Grove, a long-standing culinary pioneer on the Central Coast. Chef Walter has earned a national reputation for his simple, inspired cuisine, incorporating fresh, organic produce and sustainable seafood in his tasty creations. Guests will delight in the open kitchen format at MEarth, allowing for fun interactions with this dynamic duo as they prepare their "food from the heart" for guests to enjoy.

Sunday, JUNE 23rd | Chef Yousef Ghalaini
Newly transplanted to the Monterey Peninsula from New York City (via foodie hotspots in Napa and Florida), Culinary Institute of America trained, Chef Ghalaini has quickly established himself as a tastemaker in our local culinary scene. Specializing in the timeless art of "open-flame" cooking, Chef looks forward to pairing this simple & tasty technique with veggies plucked fresh from the MEarth garden.
