Montana Unofficial Regional "Thing"

So sorry this has taken so long to figure out - we've been working hard to make this happen, and we finally have some definitive news for you.

We do have a spot but it's far from optimum, and not suited for an official event, so we're going to do something small and unofficial. The space is on Mill Creek Road, equidistant between Frenchtown & Arlee. The landowner is very cool and fully supportive of this event.

We're sticking with the June 21-22 date, and our best guess is that the space can accommodate 250 people, so that's our population cap.

There is room for two small sound systems far enough away from the main area that it won't be too intrusive. You can hear a little bit of sub bass where most of the camping is but nothing that should disturb anybody's sleep.

There is a field that we should be able to burn something pretty darn big in, as well as host some sort of center camp. There will be plenty of shaded camping space in the trees, but not many car camping opportunities. If you're bringing/building something for the main field you can use some prime parking space, but depending on attendance you may need to park your car 1/4 mile-ish from where you set up camp. Maybe only 50 people will show up and this won't be an issue but ya never know :)

The drive up is a little dodgy, but mostly okay. There are maybe 2 or 3 spots in 10 miles that you might have to be careful about, depending on what you're driving. You can access Mill Creek Road either from the Arlee side or the Frenchtown side.

***we have just discovered that Mill Creek Road to Arlee is in much better condition than the road to Frenchtown - if you're worried about your car's clearance then we suggest you take this route in***

We're going to do Friday and Saturday night, with Friday night more of a builder's night (come to set up your project - minimal late night music), and Saturday being the burn night/all night party.

Rules:
* 18+ minors are strongly discouraged and must be accompanied by a parent.
* No dogs
* Bring everything you need with you - water, food, etc. There is no vending, please practice radical self-reliance. Porta-potties and good vibes will be provided.
* Pack it in, pack it out - leave no trace.
* Expect rugged, mountain conditions. This event is not wheelchair friendly (sorry!) and you should definitely bring good shoes or hiking boots.
* If you want to run a bar and serve alcohol, you must check IDs.

What to bring?
Art, gifts, water, food, sunscreen, bug repellent, camping supplies, good shoes, "swimming" gear if you want to splash in the creek, your ID (if you want to drink), a cup, flashlight/headlamp, non-amplified musical instruments.

What not to bring?
Sound systems (unless approved), dogs, unattended children, bad attitudes, drugs.
