Welcome Home, Moron! with Bob Van Dyne. Kelsey Cook, David Leon and Kiera Giordan
For the first time in 2, years Bob Van Dyne comes home to Seattle! Perhaps, better known locally as DJ W. Noname from his 8 years at 1077 The End, now it's all about the stage. Currently residing in Rhode Island, the truth of the matter is Bob got into radio initially because he was too consumed by anxiety issues to be in front of a crowd. But enough was enough. Finally overcoming his fears and armed with an any stage, anytime, anywhere ethos, Bob has even shocked himself with how quickly the momentum started to build performing all over New England. "This has been the craziest and most exciting year of my life, everyday feels like a dream." When asked if he was excited to come home, Bob says, "Well, there's an understatement. I get up for every show, but there's no denying how special this one is. You only get one homecoming show, it's going to be electric. And to have the chance to work with the comedic talents and intellectual firepower of Stefan, Kelsey and Kiera the honor is truly mine. I'm one lucky guy."
Kelsey Cook has a dazzling charm that's sprinkled with filth. She's been described as "Louis C.K. meets a tiny white girl." The young up-and-coming comedian was raised by an International Yo-Yo Champion and a Professional Foosball player. "That's not a joke" says Cook, "but I wish it was." She's won Washington State University's "Last Coug Standing" competition, the Renton Comedy Competition, the Key Peninsula Comedy Competition, and was runner up in the Hollywood Comedy Competition. Cook was also selected to perform in the She-Devil Comedy Festival in New York City, where she entertained crowds at several "Best of the Fest" shows. You can see why she's been called "the next Chelsea Handler" by her mother.
"David Leon is a Chicago native who began his comedy career in Madison, WI. David has shared the stage with many talented performers such as Emo Phillips, TJ Miller, James Adomian and Joey Diaz. David Leon's style of comedy, best described by the Onion A.V. club, "plays on the yearning sentimentalist and inner-creep" with a "kid-on-sugar-high stage presence."With a demented persona and unpredictable topics, David Leon puts on a show that demands intensity and imagination from his audience, all while having a smile on his face and a mustache on his heart."
Kiera Giordan (aka That Funny Gal) is a comedian, producer, radio host, writer and voiceover actress from Denver, Colorado. Kiera began entertaining people at the age of 12 when she started entering speech competitions in the categories of "humor" and "improv". From there she quickly moved to the live theater stage. Kiera was accepted into the highly acclaimed Theater Conservatory at DePaul University and at the age of 18 moved to Chicago to pursue an acting career. However a turn of events took her away from the stage and onto the radio airwaves instead. Kiera has worked with the likes of Mancow, The Howard Stern Show and The Adam Carolla Show as well as hosting several of her own radio programs. Kiera's radio career brought her to Seattle, which she now calls home. In 2010 Kiera returned to the stage, this time as a stand-up comedian. Kiera's humor, on the surface, is raw and gritty. However, look a little deeper and you will notice that her jokes weave intelligent paths that take the audience on a ride that often ends in a location they were not expecting. Kiera regularly performs at comedy clubs all over the Pacific Northwest as well as producing comedy showcases and private events every week in Washington.
