Tonight is the last night to see the show L.A. Weekly called "hilarious!"
Yes, the same show that LAist gave their Pick of the Day!
"Girls vs. Golden Girls - Who Empower Us and Who are a Bunch of Stunted Oppressed Degenerates?"
From the people who brought you Great Debates regarding "Revenge of the Nerds - Morality Tale or Affront to Civilization?", "Ferris Bueller - Hero or Sociopath?," and "The Smurfs - Utopian Society or Brainwashed Cult?," now comes the answer to the question America has been asking for centuries.
Some of us think Dorothy, Sophia, Rose and Blanche should be on Mount Rushmore. Others think that Hannah, Marney, Jessa and Shoshanna could solve the nation's debt crisis. Matt Price and Ilyse Mimoun delve deep into the lives of these women, searching for empowerment, enlightment and another big word ending in "ment."
Matt Price ("Men of a Certain Age" and Emmy Award winning writer for Cartoon Network's "Regular Show") and Ilyse Mimoun ("Hart of Dixie" and "90210") take the gloves off in their most crucial debate yet-- exploring things like: is Hannah really the voice of her generation? Are Rose's St. Olaf stories twisted and selfish? Does eating an entire cheesecake per day bring you closer together?
"Girls vs. Golden Girls!"
You've waited long enough. Hannah vs. Dorothy. Emoticons vs. actually talking to each other other. Butt plugs vs. holding hands. What empowers us more? Come to the Zephyr Theater in West Hollywood for the final show - Wednesday June 26th - to find out.
