Introduction to Final Cut Pro (Part 1 of 2 for Beginners)

This comprehensive beginners workshop introduces filmmakers new to non-linear editing to the Final Cut Pro editing software. Students are introduced to the basic layout and settings of the software, creating user settings, basic editing tools, introduction to three-three point editing, basic transitions, creating tittles, media management essentials, capturing footage and importing files from multiple formats, and basic exporting of footage. During each session students will complete a 30 sec to one minute in-class project that will serve to re-iterate the skills that introduced in each session. No previous knowledge of Final Cut Pro or non-linear editing required.
No equipment or prior experience necessary. Students are provided with their own 21.5" quad-core iMacs. Personal equipment or projects are not permitted.
