| Description |
Lovers and others change our lives, opening doors for us we may ultimately walk through alone. Join comedic physical actress Barbara Michaels for an outdoor walking tour set in actual doorways and portals found among the hotels and restaurants near the EXIT Theater. Loosely based on her life, this interactive show chronicles thorny and thriving moments of transition gifted by her "Doormen" who inspire peculiar passages. The Doormen is a touring show that reinvents its form for its setting. Written & Performed by Barbara Michaels. Choreographed & Directed by Karen Fox.

About the San Francisco Fringe Festival The 17th Annual San Francisco Fringe Festival is the largest grass-roots theater festival in the Bay Area. This year we are presenting 286 performances of 48 different plays over 12 days from September 3rd to 14th. Tickets are inexpensive and the festival is organized so you can see a large variety of new and exciting work. All tickets are $9 or less, most shows are 60 minutes or less, and the festival is scheduled so that when you get out of any one show there are five or six choices of shows starting within 30 minutes, most within walking distance. Each year at the Fringe artists and audience have the opportunity to take risks and to support new and bold work. You can support this effort by seeing a variety of Fringe shows and by being generous in your acceptance of this work. Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
