VOODOO GLOW SKULLS: In their sixteen years of existence, the Voodoo Glow Skulls have an impressive list of achievements. Seven albums, one million records sold, appearances in exotic locations like Brazil and Japan as well as the creation of a record store, record label, recording studio and a music venue attests to the remarkable creativity and energy of the band. Formed in 1988, Voodoo Glow Skulls meshed hardcore punk, traditional ska, tough guitar riffs and the Mexican music of their roots to create the prototype for the West Coast ska-core sound, influencing a wide range of bands from Sublime to No Doubt. Unflinchingly honest, their songs often used humor to comment on harsh political realities from racial inequity to unrest overseas. Singing in both Spanish and English, Voodoo Glow Skulls' bilingual musical tradition has been a hallmark of the band since they began.
VIETNAM HARDCORE is a southern california punk band that started in the summer of 2005. They draw their main influence from 80's hardcore. It is obvious to audiences that they play with a genuine old school sound that doesn't mimic or copy their favorite bands. There is a consensus amongst their fan base and people just getting into them that they have a very authentic sound.Vietnam Hardcore also likes to play their liveshows with an intensity that goes unrivaled. Their stage presence is captivating and entertaining. They often leave crowds in awe and asking them to play more songs. And when the band runs out of songs the audience begs them to play some of their set list over again.
the TRAMPLERS: Recently transplanted Cow Punk band from Yuma, AZ to San Diego featuring longstanding member Judd Morgan, Mike Palumbo, guitars and vox, Davey Hood (SHOT OUT HOODS), drums and vox, Kyle Hantsbarger, upright bass.
