Queer Teen Ensemble Theatre presents their 6th annual Pride production: BAD@$$ES!! Are We Queer Enough for You? Our 2013 production asks "When the hero you're dreaming of never shows up, can you become your own superhero? Small town oppression won't stand a chance against these queer youth bad@$$es!!" The production opens Thursday, June 27th and runs through Pride Sunday. All shows start at 7:30 at Gay City's Calamus Auditorium on Pike and Boylston! The show is free for youth and sliding scale for adults but be sure to reserve tickets in advance at brown paper tickets! There are only 4 performances, seating is limited!
SINCE 2007, QTET has created five world premiere summer productions generated and performed by queer teens from all over the greater Seattle area. Beyond our summer intensive, QTET tours year round to dozens of schools, community centers and events leading workshops and intensives. QTET began as a resident program of Washington Ensemble Theatre, is a part of the Intiman Collective and is a former associated program of Shunpike. The 2013 QTET production is being produced by Lifelong AIDS Alliance with generous support from Pride Foundation. Past QTET productions have been made possible with support from the Mayor's Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
