| Description |
A special event celebrating the Buddhist Peace Fellowship's 30th Anniversary. The evening features keynote speakers Thulani Davis and David R. Loy, with Thai classical dance performance by Wat Buddhanusorn, from 6-8 pm. Please also join us for a reception with the speakers at 4 pm.
Thulani Davis is an ordained Buddhist priest of the Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Church at the Higashi Honganji, Kyoto, Japan. She lives in the New York City area, where she is a poet, teacher, writer, and the author of serveral works including "My Confederate Kinfolk."
David R. Loy is an authorized teacher in the Sanbo Kyodan lineage of Zen Buddhism and holds a Ph.D. in philosophy. He is a professor at Xavier University and the author of several works on socially engaged Buddhism, philosophy and ethics, including his latest book "Money, Sex, War, Karma: Notes for a Buddhist Revolution."

Free street and lot parking is available, or take the AC Transit #51 bus line (bus stop within half a block at College Ave and Derby). This event is wheelchair accessible and scent free.
