Trio Los Vigilantes
Why simply go to a concert when with a little extra effort... you could travel back in time?
Trio Los Vigilantes has always celebrated and honored La Epoca de Oro, the Golden Age of Latin American music and cinema; a time when vocal harmonies soared over guitars and requintos, and the world was a little bit simpler. No iPhones, no computers, no constant barrage of email, no facebook, no texting... back when you had to actually call friends to make plans, and when you did... everyone set aside the whole night and dressed to impress when they hit the town.
We'll be wearing our black, slim-fit suits, and the strings will match. The hall will reverberate with the sound that only the Scottish Rite can - with over 130 years of music echoing with every note. In addition to concert seating, there will be private candlelit tables for two. Complimentary beer and wine will be served along with the classic Latin American cocktails, Mojito and Cuba Libre, courtesy of White Hat Rum.
So... that sounds like a concert. How do we make this into a time machine? Easy - you help by dressing the part as we all share the trip back together. Men, sport that suit you never have the occasion to wear. Slick your hair back. Wear a skinny tie. Ladies, show off your favorite vintage dress or gown. Pile your hair up in an outrageous beehive. Whip out the "sexy librarian," horn-rimmed glasses you bought for that Mad Men theme party...
