SRO UNDERGROUND presents Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson
Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson takes the life of our nation's seventh president and turns him into the rock star he really was. It follows his life from his humble upbringing, to becoming a war hero, to his presidency, and it's all done in breakneck speed. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a wild ride of a rock musical that mixes fact with fiction as well as shows how the political atmosphere of today parallels the political atmosphere of then. In the actions of Jackson we can see current political figures like Obama, Bush, and McCain. Jackson refuses to take no for an answer and will do whatever it takes for him to get the job done all while wearing the tightest jeans in town. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is the first show to be produced under the new SRO Underground Series which is devoted to producing musicals that are lesser known, have a rock score, deal with serious subject matter or sometimes all of the above. To put it bluntly: this isn't Rodgers and Hammerstein.
