Owen & Engine is pleased to invite the public to celebrate the twin arts of Brewing & Charcuterie during Chicago Craft Beer Week on Sunday May 19th from 6:00pm-10:00pm in our well-appointed upstairs dining room. Sample selections of Chef Kevin Church's extensive charcuterie program all while imbibing rare and regional beers from breweries such as 5 Rabbit, Local Option, Pipeworks, Solemn Oath, and more. The $80 ticket entitles to the holder access to a generous spread of charcuterie, breads from our baker, & accoutrement as well as 10 drink-tickets redeemable for 5 oz. pours of beer. Tickets will be available on brownpapertickets.com and, due to space, extremely limited. Consider the Brewer and the Charcutier. Both vaunted and ancient trades, plied to sustain and nourish, to take raw, pure, local ingredients and make them more than the sum of their parts. Both harness the magic of fermentation to enliven flavors and spirits. We are blessed to be located in a region rich with talented brewers and to have one of the finest local charcutiers helming our kitchen. So it seems only natural to bring these two arts together under one roof in the midst of CCBW, Chicago's most extensive and esteemed craft beer celebration. Does a week of drinking have you feeling peckish? The robust list of charcuterie, including Beef Bresaola, TĂȘte de Cochon, Cumberland Sausage, Sauccison Sec, Capicolla, Lamb Bacon, should do the trick. All fortified with loaves of baguette and brown bread fresh from our ovens as well as our popular pickles, English mustard, sauce Cumberland, chutneys, piccalilli, and stout mustard. Slake that understandable thirst with 5 Lizard Witbier, Local Option Dampf Loc & barrel-aged Kentucky Common, 3 year old Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, 2 year old Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout from Central Water, and many more brews to be announced.
