Mordine & Company Dance Theater presents NEXT 2013
Mordine & Company presents NEXT 2013, an evening that celebrates up-and-coming dance in Chicago. Choreographers Liana Percoco and Penelope Hearne, who were selected to participate in the Choreographic Mentorship Program, will premier their works. Monica Thomas, in collaboration with videographer Jason Chiu, will present a work that explores ideas of meditation across cultures and combines dance, pre-recorded video, and live streamed video. Previous Choreographic Mentorship Program participant Ayako Kato will perform a solo. Mordine & Company will also present All at Once/Acts of Renewal, which delves into themes of simultaneity and over-stimulation.
