In this spoken word monologue, writer and performer Aimee Greenberg regales viewers with the trials and tribulations of an expectant traveler in search of the sacred on Bali, an island on the verge of capitalism. The antidote to EAT PRAY LOVE!
BIO
As a theatre/performance practitioner, Aimee Greenberg has been turning phrases on a dime and spinning images out of thin air for nearly three decades. She hails from New York, where she has performed in many Off-broadway houses and studied with theatre icons Sandy Meisner, Wynn Handman and Stella Adler. In 1990, she created HEIJERA productions, a multi-media theatre company based in Los Angeles, presenting both solo and large scale ensemble works here in the United States and abroad. She is the recipient of multiple awards and honors including the Los Angeles Endowment, The Seattle Original Works Award and the Asian Cultural Council fellowship for Japanese theatre and dance performance. Her latest full-length play, LIGHT FALLING DOWN, will premiere at the Oceanside Theatre Company in October, 2013.
