Always an avid collector of music, Event Horizonz got his start in the DJ craft with a pair of hand-me-down CDJs in 2004. After rockin' house parties in Ann Arbor and learning basic turntablism from some of the areas most well-versed DJs, hobby quickly became passion as he brought his newfound talent back to the Southwest Michigan area. Fast becoming a local favorite, he used a combination of superb song selection and seamless mixing skills to win gigs and residencies at several different locations in the Michiana area. The parties that went on during those hot summer nights became the topic of local legend!
Enter 2011...EDM had recently come into the spotlight and Event Horizonz liked what he was hearing. Breaking into the scene, he started playing shows in Kalamazoo with the newly formed Deadbeatz crew and soon became a member. The following year was marked as an era of rapid progress with the formation and launch of Event Horizonz Productions, specializing in event services, promotions, and pro sound/lighting rental. Whether it be in show performances, pro sound setup, music production, or sound engineering/post production, Event Horizonz is hungry and busy creating the next opportunity for success.
Mamo a rare breed when it comes to rappers, he is recognized for his ability to match fast paced, intense rhyme schemes with catchy hooks. He is best known for starting the rap crew No One Leaves Hungry (N1LH). A crew that grew to dominate southwest Michigan in 2012 and continues to grow. In 2007 Mamo had just graduated high school and had 20$ to his name and no where to go. He got a job and proceeded to quickly work his way up the corporate ladder. Then at age 21 he decided to leave it all behind, 2 brand new cars, a high salary, a huge home, a lot of accomplishments for someone who grew up in a state of poverty. He decided to chase his dreams and do what he knew he always was at heart...a rapper. His live set is something you want to see again once you see one time. Featuring the popular DJ DaggaDaze and various members of N1LH, it will have you on your feet asking yourself why you are bouncing to the 808's of a song about trailer parks and Bud Light.
