It seems that cancer has affected nearly all of us in one way or another. Sometimes, it's a distant friend of a friend. Sometimes, it hits much closer to home. In this case, it's Jared Yoakum: a young native of Selah, WA who has recently undergone a battle against colon cancer. With sponsors like Yakima Craft Brewery, Liberty Bottleworks, Naches Heights Vineyard, Dutch Bros coffee and Coca Cola of Yakima, we're going to join in Relay for Life's fight.
These local businesses will join in the effort by offering reusable growlers for purchase which can be filled with beer, wine, or other non-alcoholic beverages at the concert, with proceeds going to this awesome cause.
Cody Beebe & The Crooks are releasing a new album titled "Out Here." With members who hail from Selah, WA, the band has always found home playing in Central WA. The album comes out online May 7, so the show on May 3 will be the first chance for folks to get a copy. The album was recorded in Seattle, WA with legendary producer, John Goodmanson (Death Cab for Cutie, Brandi Carlisle, etc) and promises to live up to the standards set by CBC after their first release in 2010. Since releasing their freshman album three years ago, CBC has been zigzagging the nation, playing festivals, clubs, wineries, breweries, fairs... honing their craft, preparing to release a new set of songs that speak of their travels. Come get your copy before the album even officially releases, while donating money to a worthy cause in the battle against cancer.
Blake Noble is an Australian percussive 12-string guitar / didgeridoo player. Since his performance at 2012 Chinook Fest, he has been packing venues in Central WA, captivating crowds with his insane abilities and unique show. He will be starting the night off, followed by incredible Portland, OR band, Tango Alpha Tango.
