The Washington County Gay Straight Alliance welcomes the Renaissance City Choirs of Pittsburgh to Washington County in a reprise of their Cabaret program "So You Think You're a Diva?," under the direction of Jeffry Johnson.
Washington County Gay Straight Alliance, Inc. is dedicated to affirming acceptance between diverse groups of people, raising awareness in our community of the needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Questioning, Queer, Asexual, and Allied (LGBTQA) people through support, education, and community outreach on the issues of diversity. WCGSA, Inc. provides a safe, confidential environment for individuals of Washington County and the surrounding areas regardless of sex, race, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
On the program will be music made famous by some of our favorites shining stars: Barbra Streisand, Peggy Lee, Edith Piaf, Karen Carpenter, Doris Day, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Liza Minnelli, Florence and the Machine, Mika, Chaka Kahn, the Beatles, 'N Sync, One Direction, and Queen. Our Divas and Divos are bigger than life. The music that they performed or are performing is likewise big, with open arms that embrace us and give voice to our own experiences. This cabaret honors the contribution of some of our musical heroines and heroes and the music that they bring to the world.
