A Lasting Legacy: Stanley Bauman and His Camera
A Lasting Legacy: Stanley Bauman and His Camera is the Stonehill College Archives and Historical Collection's newest exhibit, which showcases the amazing work of legendary Brockton photographer, Stanley A. Bauman.
The opening reception for the exhibit will be the first time Stonehill has displayed Mr. Bauman's work on such a large scale, offering a glimpse of the wide variety of people, places, and events captured by his camera. This exhibit will also convey the enormous historical value inherent to the Stanley A. Bauman Photograph Collection. Apart from showcasing photographs, the exhibit will display a selection of Mr. Bauman's cameras and his original scrapbooks. Visitors will also gain a sense of how the collection is preserved, as well as the role digitization plays in the collection's future.
Nicole Casper, The Director of Archives and Historical Collections at Stonehill College, will offer brief remarks at 5:15pm. A limited selection of prints will be available for sale, and light refreshments will be served.
