Join master monologist Matt Smith for a special reprise of his highly acclaimed show, |
My Last Year with the Nuns, in an intimate performance fundraiser at the Richard Hugo House on Saturday,
April 13 at 7pm.
Smith is turning his popular autobiographical play, which recalls his 8th grade year as a schoolboy on
Capitol Hill in 1966-67, into a wild coming-of-age film---a comedy grounded in his Catholic education,
racism, and the joys and horrors that are male adolescence.
My Last Year with the Nuns is scheduled to begin shooting in summer 2013. The film will be directed by
Smith's longtime collaborator, actor/director Bret Fetzer, and will be produced by indie film alumnus
Michael Seiwerath (Policebeat, The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle).
Proceeds from ticket sales and any additional donations will all go towards the film production's $50,000
