Six Comics, Three Cities, One Night
This month we really have something special. Six amazing comics from Denver, Chicago and St. Louis will make you laugh. We're excited to have Sam Tallent and Aaron Urist of Denver; Derek Smith and Cameron Gillette of Chicago; and Kenny Kinds and Kris Wernowsky from St. Louis.
As always, shows are brought to you by PBR and KDHX. Tickets are $7.50 when purchased online. It's $10 at the door.
Sam The Denver Post called Sam "the surreal voice of an absurd generation" and the Denver Westword said that he had "the best comedy moment in Denver in all of 2012". "An alt-comic road dog in the vein of Kinane and Stanhope" (SF's courtingcomedy.com), Tallent has performed all over at places like the SF Punchline, the Creek and the Cave NYC, the Laughing Devil, the San Francisco Comedy and Burrito Festival and the New York Television Festival, as well as clubs and colleges across the Mid- and Southwest.
Aaron Bio pending!
Derek Despite being a bag of vices and complaints, Derek remains likable and lovable, like a smart, irritated Teddy Bear who makes poor life decisions. He's been described as disgusting and smart. He could probably write this generation's definitive dick joke in his sleep. He probably will, but only in between being a hundred kinds of funny, intelligent, and captivating.
Cameron He is a fast-rising fixture in the Chicago stand-up scene. The author of this actually saw him perform at the Lincoln Lodge earlier this year. The author was impressed by Cameron's brand of humor. Full bio; pending.
Kenny and Kris Kenny is one of the premiere up and comers in St. Louis. He tours the area and is a regular host at the Funny Bone in Westport. Kris also performs throughout the region and is the founder and creator of the Too Hip (For A Comedy Club) Hilarious Showcase Spectacular.
