Shakefest is an educational series of dance workshops happening during the day on Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th 2013. It is purposely orchestrated with a multicultural and international theme; in line with a new Ireland, that leads to an evening of a multicultural dance of excellence on the beautiful grounds of Charleville Castle, Tullamore. This is a community run holistic fair for families, international dance and art enthusiasts and anyone active!

This year Shakefest hosts Mariel Sitka, a Dancer, teacher, choreographer, director and producer of Oriental Dance. She combines the captivation and tradition of Oriental Dance with her boundless enthusiasm to create a phenomenally creative expression in her work.

Mariel runs her own school Brisas de Oriente, and also is the Manager of Kazafy Troupe in Argentina, with whom she has studied and performed and coordinated with each year as part of the 'Kazafy Experience' and also boasts Director of Ballet Folklorico Argentino Institute of Arab Culture "By Mahyar".

Individual workshops are available to all participants during Shakefest, if you wish to take extra workshops during Shakefest please inquire at the workshop registration desk for availability for each workshop.

This year we have added transport to and from Dublin! We've arranged a coach to transport ticket holders to Charleville Castle on Satuday the 25th of May and back on again on Sunday the 26th of May!

Coach leaves Central Bank, Dublin at 10am, Sat May 25th
Coach leaves Charleville Castle 6pm, Sun May 26th

Weekend Pass - 3 Mariel Sitka workshops, entrance fee, camping and evening entertainment

*All above packages include general admission, camping and evening performance.

Mariel Sitka Workshops:
1 Mariel Sitka - Choice of any one workshop by Mariel Sitka
2 Mariel Sitka - Choice of any two workshops by Mariel Sitka
3 Mariel Sitka - All three workshops by Mariel Sitka

*All Mariel Sitka workshop prices include general admission but camping and evening performances are separate

Day General Admission - Access to the festival grounds during daytime hours 12-6pm
Day Family pass - Access to the festival grounds during daytime hours for 2 Adults and 3 kids 12-6pm

Evening Performance - Evening entertainment starting at 8pm

The evening entertainment will start off with the Hafla, this unique event is open to any Shakefest attendees that wish to perform for friends and fellow attendees. If you wish to perform please email us. The Hafla will be followed up by special performances from our international guests, a Fire Show with the Red Embers.
