The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) will premiere two new spring ballets "The Graduation Ball" and "Carnival of the Animals" as well as some other surprise dances in an eclectic ballet program on Friday, April 26th @7:30, Saturday, April 27th @ 7:30 and Sunday, April 28th at 2 p.m at Guild Hall's beautiful John Drew Theater, 158 Main Street, East Hampton. Advanced ticket purchase is $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12 years of age. Premium orchestra, private box seating and group rates are also available.
The ballets are choreographed by director, Sara Jo Strickland. They include beautiful costumes designed by Yuka Silvera and lighting designed by Sebastian Paczynski. They will of course, feature the students of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. "The Graduation Ball"is a story about a military boys school attending a ball at an all girls school. It is a comedic ballet with fast paced dancing and a wonderful score by Johann Strauss, Jr. "Carnival of the Animals" is a collection of barnyard, zoo and wild animals dancing on the stage to the whimsical score of Camille Saint-Saens.
HBTS, celebrating their sixth year, is excited to bring this exhilarating lineup of new ballets, highlighting HBTS dancers, to Guild Hall's John Drew Theater this spring. Dance into spring with HBTS at this fun, extraordinary event!
