Together We Can Stop the Sexual Abuse of Children Jenny Coleman, MA LMHC Stop It Now! prevents the sexual abuse of children by mobilizing communities to take actions that protect children before they are harmed. Ms. Coleman will present effective ways for communities to act to prevent child sexual abuse before children are harmed.

Loowit Room You Have Options Sexual Assault Reporting System Susan Moen, Jackson County SART The You Have Options Program is a law enforcement response to sexual violence that focuses on increasing the number of victims who report to police by addressing the barriers victims face and by providing them with control over the process.
Coweeman Room Primary and Secondary Trauma Charlotte Rosen (MS LMHC) & Mary Patterson (MA LMHC) Local mental health counselors present on the experience of trauma and the occurrence of PTSD in secondary victims of sexual assault (parents, siblings, caregivers, spouses, etc.).

Loowit Room Identifying and Advocating For High Needs Clients Riddhi Mukhopadhyay, YWCA Sexual Violence Legal Services Advocates seek to provide thoughtful, client-centered services to a survivor left vulnerable and traumatized after they have experienced sexual violence. But what do you do when the client may feel difficult to work with because of their own personality or background? How do you advocate for a nonresponsive client, a client with cognitive disabilities, or a client who is in constant chaos? We will look at common client scenarios and how to identify and proactively respond to survivors who may need extra attention or special assistance, with the objective of providing participants with concrete resources and strategies.
Coweeman Room In Her Shoes: Living with Domestic Violence Emergency Support Shelter Interactive presentation where participants will move, do, think and experience the choices and barriers for victims of domestic violence. Scenarios are created from real-life experiences.
