Roy Horn Experience Opens Seattle/King County NAACP Centennial Music Series
The Roy Horn Experience Band, featuring Roy Horn on wind synth, Jamael Nance on drums, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass, Ed Weber on piano and Reggie Goings on trumpet and vocals along with special guest artists perform at the Scarlet Tree Restaurant on Saturday, March 30th, from 5 to 8 PM. Admission is just $20 and half of the proceeds go to the Seattle/King County NAACP in support of the organization's Centennial Celebration fund. The Seattle/King County NAACP was formed in 1913 and this is the first of three music events this year the oprganization plans to reach out to the public and start its next 100 years of serving its mission for justice. The Roy Horn Experience will perform a special composition to commemorate the event called "Black Street Music" along with selections from its upcoming CD entitled "Mazatlan Sunset."
