Seahurst Saturdays: Insect Safari

Program Description: -Discussion of the classification system over-all and the characteristics of the various classes of Arthropods. -Viewing the teaching collection of Arthropods, 2100 + specimens from all around the world collected over the past 32 years. -Short walk around the Center looking for Arthropods demonstrating collecting and sampling techniques.
Seahurst Saturdays help families connect to nature and learn more about the diverse life around them at Seahurst Park in Burien, WA. Insect Safari is geared towards families with K-8th grade students but all ages are welcome! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
