| Description |
 Arena Theater proudly presents An Evening with Janiva Magness, one of todays most talented and recognized blues and roots vocalists. In May 2007, Los Angeles-based Janiva won her second consecutive Blues Music Award for Contemporary Female Artist of the Year. Janiva is nominated for the 2008 Blues Music Award for the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award. Fellow genre leader Charlie Musselwhite says Janiva Magness always knocks me out because she has such style and poise on stage and she hits every note she sings just right - perfect every time." The latest Janiva Magness release What Love Will Do will be available on Alligator Records June 10. An Evening with Janiva Magness is the last in the five-part 2008 Blues Series at the Arena Theater, supported by Gualala Chevron and DuPont's Mendocino Mercantile at the wharf in Point Arena.
