Shana Morrison in 2008 Blues Series at Arena Theater
Arena Theater Point Arena, CA
Arena Theater proudly presents singer-songwriter Shana Morrison, whose musical style comes with a side of blues and a side of rock. Morrison began her career singing beside her father Van Morrison in his infamous Rhythm and Soul Review, which featured artists such as Jimmy Withersoon, Junior Wells, and John Lee Hooker. Morrisons first forays into recording were on Van Morrison releases. Her self-produced 2007 release, the R&B-flavored CD That's Who I Am, is on Belfast Violet Records. Shana Morrison is the third in a five part Blues Series which includes the subsequent dates: Saturday September 20, MoFo Party Band; Saturday October 18, Janiva Magness. The 2008 Blues Series at the Arena Theater is supported by Gualala Chevron and DuPont's Mendocino Mercantile at the wharf in Point Arena.
Note: One of five events in the 2008 Blues Series July 12 to October 18. Tickets $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
