"Putting it Together"
Music/Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

A revue with a difference. A revue that tells a story. A show that covers one night and forty years A show that takes place today and also in 200 B.C., 1853, 1882, 1900, the 1950s, the 1970s, the 1980s and tonight.

It's a revue that's a little Ingmar Bergman, a little Edward Albee, a little Kaufman and Hart, and a whole lot of Stephen Sondheim.

Sondheim himself conceived this evening of his hits, as well as lesser known masterpieces, from "Sweeney Todd", "Into the Woods", "Sunday in the Park With George", "Company", "A Little Night Music", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", "Merrily We Roll Along", "Assassins", and the film, "Dick Tracy".

Putting it Together is a musical "review" that delights, dazzles and devastates as an older couple (Amy Dondy and Ty Blair*), whose marriage is on the brink, entertains a younger pair (Giana DeGesio and Scott Gessford) who are learning the joys, and fears, of a life together.

Narrated by a mysterious stranger (Luke Anthony), "Putting it Together" is both a testament to the craft and passion of Stephen Sondheim, as well as an entertaining, and unexpectedly emotional story, that fits together as perfectly as the puzzles that Sondheim so famously loves.

Directed by Leah Abrams and Brian Katz
Musical Directed by Rona Siddiqui
