ABOUT THE SHOW

Conceived and directed by Jeremy Bloom (Leaves of Grass @ the cell), the plight of Peter Pan takes on new life in an anxiety-ridden, deadly adventurous world of love, fairy dust and twilight.  The pajama-clad performers, an exuberant ensemble of lost boys, pirates, fairies, and mermaids, explore familiar text compiled from the J.M. Barrie novels, "Peter Pan and Wendy" and "The Little White Bird."  Featuring Bloom's signature low-tech, inventive image staging, Peter/Wendy reveals the nuances of Neverland.  A protege of Tony Award winning Mary Zimmerman (Metamorphoses), Bloom directs with a creative use of adaptation.  The actors are warmly lit by bedside lamps against the lofted space go the cell using every inch of the multi-level indoor/outdoor stage.  The entire piece is underscored by the acclaimed indie band, "The Books."

BECOME A SUPPORTER
OF THE PETER PAN CHILDREN'S FUND

PETER/ WENDY is proud to partner with The Peter Pan Children's Fund, an organization that encourages philanthropy by children, young adults, and adults in support of children's hospitals/organizations worldwide and associated programs for children that focus on illness and injury prevention, family centered care, research and rehabilitation. In 1929, playwright and novelist Sir James Barrie gifted the Peter Pan copyright to the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (GOSH) in London. Since then, the boy who would not grow up has become a cultural phenomenon and one of the world's greatest philanthropists.
