9th Annual Anansi Auction
Anansi Education hosts an annual fundraiser auction to send academically qualified students to secondary school in West Africa. These students would otherwise have no means to attend school. The evening consists of a silent auction with wine and appetizers followed by a live auction with guest speakers who help illuminate the mission of our organization and the means by which we endeavor to help. This level of education opens doors for self sufficiency and provides hope to young people struggling to make their first step onto the ladder of success. Our founder, Kathryn Roe, an artist and instructor of art history, ceramics and computer art for 35 years, personally selects each item brought back to the Northwest and made available at our event. Many of the items have been verified as museum quality artifacts that any collector of African art would be thrilled to have the opportunity to purchase.
