Spirit of Hope 2013
This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Spirit of Hope Awards. This event honors individuals who have worked in the trenches, often against popular opinion, and who have used their time, money and/or talents to advance the fight against HIV/AIDS. It is also an evening of love, light, and laughter, and many have said it is their favorite event of the year. This year we are delighted to have the Los Angeles cast of Rent perform at the event.
We are proud to honor the fabulous Sheryl Lee Ralph. Sheryl is also a tireless activist who, who for 23 years has produced Divas Simply Singing, now the longest consecutive running musical AIDS benefit in the country. The Diva Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of HIV/AIDS for men, women and children around the globe.
Dr. Tony Mills is a long time friend and supporter of Being Alive and the HIV community. In addition, Tony lectures all over the world on issues regarding HIV, and is a former Colt Model.
Craig Taylor has been a long serving volunteer at Being Alive, starting as front desk manager, co-editor of the newsletter, and later as a board member, where he has served tirelessly since 2006.
