Ferocious Intimacy Preview & Meet and Greet
Super thrilled to host Coach Basin and Leece Hillegas!!! They are coming down from Berkeley to bring more ferocious intimacy into YOUR life!!

Do you dare to stretch into unfamiliar parts of yourself.  Learn what it feels like to be bigger than usual, so that you can call on those parts of yourself when you need them.

The intention of both Friday night and Saturday's workshop is to somatically evoke some of our less conscious patterning, and provide new ways of approaching habituated situations.  It can be both uncomfortable and liberating.  How do you take a stand for yourself? How do you react when you are feeling hemmed in? How do you trust another with your well being?  These and many other types of situations come up, and get a chance to be recognized and revised.

If you resonate with any of the following
Stand up for yourself
Be vulnerably present
Show up in your life
Interact with exuberance
Inhabit your own nature
Connect tenderly with others
Express yourself powerfully
Take risks
Live passionately

This is the place to be!!!

Tonight will be a preview for tomorrow's day long event. You will get a chance to ask questions, to get in touch with parts of yourself you normally hold back, get to dance, growl, and practice being at ease with all aspects of yourself.

One of the more frequent closing circle comments is that people remembered how they felt as a child, free and exuberant and silly and spontaneous, and how much energy those re-opened channels provide.  Another comment that comes up is that adults seem to have lost permission to really push and pull and lean in and grasp one another, evoking an innocent familiar comfort of youthful contact.  The workshop gets your heart rate pumping, oxygenates your muscles and brain, and floods the system with relaxing and bonding hormones.  Most people leave the workshop beaming and bouncing out of the door into whatever may face them next.

What other's have said about Coach Basin's events...
The Ferocious Intimacy workshop last Saturday was as unpredictable, as exciting and as enjoyable as the name implies.  I like the name because it doesn't allow you to build expectations and keeps you open for whatever coming to you. And the workshop was exactly that; Coach Basin pushed us gently to go over movements that you not necessarily do on your own; and through that experience discover what is inside you, what hold you down, and what desires are potent in you and waiting to surface up. I love the feeling and recommend to my friends to try it for the experience." --Romanov F.

About your facilitators:
Coach Basin is a playful taskmaster, supporting people to feel more alive and satisfied in their lives.  In addition to his private practice, he has created the Ferocious Intimacy workshops from the fabric of his own life: dancer, DJ, Judo black belt, high school wrestling coach, nonprofit executive, and nurturing father of four.  Coach Basin has been a teacher and group leader for his entire adult life, including co-founding an alternative elementary school and over 30 years of living in intentional community.

Basin says: "My deep joy is to watch humans grow into themselves.  That beauty is like watching a flower opening to the warmth of the sun.  I can help you strengthen your roots so that you can drink up the nourishment surrounding you.  You can flourish."

Leece Hillegas has been a principal co-creator of Primal Improvisation over the course of her nine year relationship with Coach Basin.  Her love of attuned dancing and expressive movement with a partner arise from the influence of modern dance as a child and her enthusiasm for rowdy physical play.  For her entire adult life she has used movement and dance as a form of emotional release as well as a means for connecting with others. Leece is happy to be sharing that experience through leading workshops that build intimacy.
