CFAWL's Runway for Justice

This is a spring fashion runway show produced by Macy's and offering shopping, door prizes, a silent auction, food, drink and special VIP offerings. The money raised will primarily benefit A Place for Children, a daycare facility located inside the Orange County Courthouse. The facility provides free childcare services to children of parents and caretakers who have official court business. If the daycare was not open, children would be forced to attend traumatic hearings, such as divorce and domestic violence proceedings. Since losing its funding from the State around 2009, A Place for Children has had to rely solely on donations to stay open. CFAWL annually raises about $10,000 for the non-profit, which is approximately 10% of A Place for Children's operating budget. In addition, a small percentage of the funds raised will be used to fund CFAWL's Bar Scholarship to provide assitance to deserving law students in need of financial support.
