An ADVRider regular (Pyndon), this aerospace engineer mortgaged it all and spent years doing increasingly difficult rallies (including the Baja 1000) until he could compete in the big one. This year, in his first time out, he not only finished the Dakar Rally, but had a top 10 finish on one stage and placed a respectable 46th overall. All of that in spite of a serious crash and a lower fork that split in two and that he fixed with zip ties and JB Weld.
Prior to the Dakar, Lyndon had a background in trials, motocross, supermoto and road racing.
AND he covered 90,000 miles on his KTM 950 Adventure crossing continents via demanding terrain.
In other words, he's an interesting guy!
If his RallyRaidio call-ins are any indication, it'll be an awesomely fun and informative session.
Dave Peckham from Rally Management Services is also going to be there helping riders figure out the next step in training.
They're going to be talking at the awesome and beautiful Piston & Chain Motorcycle Club, a new motorcycle club / work-on-it-yourself motorcycle shop / social group at 9th and Folsom in San Francisco.
