Voices of the Sacred: An Interfaith Festival of Sacred Song
The inaugural version of Voices of the Sacred will bring together performers from 5 of the world's great faith traditions. Our goal is not simply to open our hearts to one another, but to change them through the power and beauty of sacred song.
Our roster of performers includes internationally-recognized recording artists from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu faiths: Khalil Ismail, Yungchen Llamo, Basya Schechter, Anjula Prasad. All have traveled the world spreading their music and messages of peace and understanding.
Music is emotional. By its very nature, the universal language of music breeds understanding. When you know people's music, especially their sacred music, then you understand something about how they connect to the ultimate source of meaning in their lives. That's the kind of understanding we hope to create with Voices of the Sacred.
