Swing-Quinox
Legend tells us that the Spring equinox is the most fertile night of the year, and in honor of fertility we want you to put on your fanciest flirtiest outfit and come to Lucky Lounge for a delicious, 1930's inspired cabaret!
Dance classes, performers, singers, burlesque dancers, costumed characters and creatures of all kinds will be abound as we transform the space to welcome Spring in a proper fashion. As soon as the show is over, the swingin' booty bass of electroswing will call you to the dancefloor to spend the rest of the night with DJ Diagnosis practicing the dance moves you will have learned at the show! Price of admittance includes free classic cocktails by Hendricks Gin from 8pm - 10pm and dance classes!
The Lindy Hop Project
Swing-quinox is the first of a series of productions designed to build community and generate seed funds for the Lindy Hop Project, a huge show dedicated to the history of music, dance and race in America. The revolutionary dance of the Lindy Hop built the foundation for almost all modern forms of dance.
Funds raised from this event will go towards the completion fo the script and will kick off the set construction for the Lindy Hop Project. Your contributions assure the continued success of the project.
