Easy as PAI provides a space to explore the essentials of artistic performance:
Play: imagination, roles, scenarios
Act: voice, emotion, physicality
Improvise: listen, say 'yes', make choices
Chris Riel leads students while enabling them to find their natural abilities. Everyone has a unique play persona and Chris Riel believes that is what makes acting and improv so exciting: each player has something different to bring to every scene!
In addition to the obvious skills of acting and improvising, students in this class will learn to see the possibilities all around them, in everyday moments, all the choices we make, all the choices we could be making, the potential to live richer, fuller lives, both on and off stage.
For the Kidz class, this is a place for safe exploration of the endless wonder in a child's mind. A place to channel creative energy. A place to open up. A place to gain confidence. A place to make friends, learn communication, teamwork, problem solving, roles in life, and so much more. Plus, so much fun!
For the Youth class, this is safe place where adolescents can focus their maturing minds on healthy exploration of any and all topics. A place to prepare for the many challenges life has to offer. A place to build a foundation for a creative, artistic future. A place to build confidence, think creatively, develop cooperative relationships, break out of shells, and have tons of fun.
Play 4 Life exists to complement the acting and improv genre's local curriculum with a school of thought that nurtures the limitless human capacity for wonder and creation.
Founded by Chris Riel of In Yo Face Improv (iYfi), with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a lifetime of dedication to entertainment, comedy, performance, and, most of all, play, Play 4 Life offers an artistic exploration of mind, heart, and spiritan exciting way to "be"with all the guidance and support you would expect from a natural teacher.
