The Marsh presents "Die Welle" (The Wave)
Jewish Community Center/Kanbar Hall San Francisco, CA
Straight from its premiere at Sundance Film Festival and Berlin opening, THE MARSH brings to San Francisco audiences a unique opportunity to see the award winning German feature film, DIE WELLE (The Wave). DIE WELLE is based on RON JONES' classroom experiment in fascism that took place in Palo Alto in 1968. After the film BARBARA LANE will lead a Q & A discussion with Jones and students from the experiment. Although DIE WELLE has worldwide distribution and is a Random House book (3 million copies, 11 languages), this film will not be distributed in the US. This is the first and perhaps only opportunity for Bay Area audiences to see this important film! DIE WELLE is in German with English subtitles. A benefit for The Marsh's elevator fund.
Note: Please note that this Marsh event is being held at the Jewish Community Center.Seating for this performance is first-come, first-served. Please do not bring infants to the show.
