Get Inspired!
This year's Get Inspired! event will be hosted by local jazz treasure, Linda Yohn; radio host on WEMU. Linda will share her knowledge about jazz in America. The sights and sounds of jazz come alive in our Community Room as we celebrate America's gift to the world!
The evening includes a private viewing of Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Dan White's extraordinary black-and- white portraits of influential Kansas City jazz musicians featured in the national touring exhibition, The Fine Art of Jazz. We'll celebrate the Detroit jazz scene with an 8 pm performance by the RJ Spangler Trio and legendary saxophonist Larry Smith.
We'll be sharing good food and good company. Join us for an intimate Get Inspired! event that'll be so cool, it's hot!
