Night with the Divas
In "Night with the Divas," four star vocalists will take center stage and light up the evening sky. This concert is Black Coalition on AIDS's (BCA) second "Divas" benefit event and will be the first for 360: The Positive Care Center at the University of California at San Francisco (360). We are pleased to welcome back stellar vocalists Paula West, Denise Perrier and Jennifer Bryce, the instrumentalists of the Marcus Shelby Trio and introduce the concert's newest diva, Daria Nile. This incredible concert takes place on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. (VIP reception starts at 4:00 p.m.) at Rasselas Jazz Club and Restaurant, 1534 Fillmore Street, San Francisco. The concert will include interpretations of American Standards, jazz, blues and soul music. The artists will also pay tribute to the great ladies of jazz.
All donations will benefit BCA and 360.

About the vocalists:
Paula has captured the hearts of critics and audiences alike, nationally and internationally, with her witty, sultry and swing arrangements of American Standards. She has a lovely vibrato reminiscent of the great ladies of jazz, but also capable of straight tones and rhythmic flair.
Denise "has everything a singer should: sound, soul, swing and feeling," according to Houston Person, tenor saxophonist. Called "the voice with a heart," she is blessed with a rich contralto voice and the ability to sing ballads and blues with equal artistic grace.
Jennifer is a hypnotic vocalist with musical influences that range from Stevie Wonder to Dianne Reeves to Etta James to Meredith Monk. She is a unique vocal stylist who surprises and delights her audience with a magical way of putting her own spin on popular classics and originals alike.
Daria is a jazz performer whose versatility frees her listeners and carries them to a place beyond the here and now. She incorporates African and Latin elements singing soul, jazz, blues, samba, house, and world music. She graces the stage with melodic tongue and animated spirit.
