Doug Smith Grammy Award Winning acoustic guitarist Doug Smith is the winner of the prestigious Winfield International Fingerstyle Competition in 2006, and Billboard Magazine writes, "Inviting melodies...stunning fingerpicking". Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine raves, "Smith's fretboard brilliance continues to dazzle". His original music has been heard on radio and TV shows throughout the world, including True Hollywood Story and Martha Stewart Living , and his playing has been heard in movies such as "Twister", "Moll Flanders" and "August Rush". http://www.dougsmithguitar.com
Tim Connell A graduate of the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music and a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist with over twenty years professional performing experience, Tim Connell is a quietly rising star in the acoustic music world, forging a unique and sophisticated new voice for the mandolin in his recordings and tours with renowned jazz guitarist Eric Skye, fellow mandolinist Jack Dwyer, and the Brazilian choro group Rio Con Brio.
Tim's in-depth study of both Brazilian and Irish music, combined with his earlier years as a professional bassist and pianist have helped Tim synthesize a personal style on the mandolin which is harmonically advanced, rhythmically diverse and brimming over with sparkling ornamentation and romantic intensity. www.timconnellmusic.com
Mason Razavi Mason Razavi is a jazz and classical guitarist/composer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a solo guitarist Mason performs his unique brand of original music alongside jazz standards. A rare devotee of fingerstyle jazz guitar, Mason also leads groups having ranged from duos to quintets and beyond, performing standards and new music.
His debut CD/DVD People, Places, and Monsters features original music for the solo classical guitar including the Monster Suite, a five-movement narrative suite which was set to original animation. The Monster suite stands alone in the classical guitar world musically and thematically, and with the addition of the visual element it is the only work of its kind. Other album highlights include Lenny's Waltz, a jazz waltz opus dedicated to, and in the style of, the late fingerstyle jazz icon Lenny Breau.
An avid composer, Mason has also written music for big band, 10-piece jazz band, orchestra, and chamber groups. Mason holds a M.A. in Jazz Studies from San Jose State University, and is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music where he studied jazz composition and majored in Contemporary Writing and Production http://masonrazavi.com/
Anton Emery Anton Emery has developed a unique, personal musical voice. As a player and arranger of Celtic tunes normally heard on the fiddle, flute, and bagpipes, Anton is a master at translating the rhythm and feel of this music to the acoustic guitar, giving the music a fresh voice while losing none of its magic. His material ranges from traditional, driving jigs and reels to gorgeous slow airs, harp tunes, and unusual selections from less-well-known Celtic sources in Galicia and Brittany. Anton studied extensively with players such as Tony McManus, Al Petteway, Robin Bullock, and Steve Baughman; his debut solo release, "Noone Lasses", was selected as one of the top Celtic recordings of 2010 by Celtic MP3s Music Magazine. http://www.celticfingerstyleguitar.com
